Salary Range: $71,171 – $106,757 annually, with bonus opportunity

As a Network Administrator, you’ll be responsible for long and short-term network (LAN/WAN) planning, design, and optimization. In teaming with the business, the Network Administrator develops strategies and direction for network systems solutions using current and emerging technologies. This position translates business requirements into network or process designs and plans and recommends network hardware, systems management software and architecture to ensure compliance. The Network Administrator may take on the role of Project Leader for special enterprise-wise assignments.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Monitors network performance/tuning, ensures capacity planning is performed and is proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvement and evaluates new server-based upgrades
- Installs, configures and maintains routers, switches, and hubs for the network systems (wireless and VoIP)
- Develops and maintains documentation regarding network configurations, operating procedures, and service records relating to network hardware and software
- Monitors network links for LAN/WAN and assists in training staff in implementations, maintenance, and support of LAN/WAN
- Provides guidance in client computer operating systems, computer naming, and usernames
- Apply lean tools and thinking to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field)
- 3+ years in LAN/WAN networking experience
- Experience in troubleshooting procedures and designing resolution scripts
- Ability to lift boxes up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills working with team and business users
- Professional verbal and written skills
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
- Experience with:
- Administering Internet Protocol (IP) addressing
- Following and applying standard work instructions
- Applying lean tools and thinking to identify and eliminate waste
- Working with security systems
- Completing network documentation
ROLE SPECIFICS
- Travel – Occasional overnight travel. Ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane or train for industry meetings or conferences.
- After hours – on call rotation to support business needs and off-hours or weekend work as needed
