This position focuses on maintaining the appearance of our facility, keeping all equipment serviced and in working condition. The work consists of PM and repair work, facility improvement and lot maintenance, as well as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and fabricating. Other duties may be assigned which includes assisting in various duties to support the operation of the facility
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Diagnose and repair material‑handling and facility equipment.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
- Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Record repair details, labor time, and parts used.
- Maintain and track spare‑parts inventory.
- Service industrial batteries.
- Participate in audits and occasional training travel.
- Apply lean practices to reduce waste.
- Serve on the emergency response hazmat team.
- Work independently to manage assigned tasks
YOU MUST HAVE
- High School diploma or GED
- Physically able to access all areas of the facility for installation and repair of equipment and to lift 50lbs
- Sufficient hearing and vision necessary to safely operate powered equipment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literate
- Good mechanical aptitude and ability/willingness to learn new skills
- Commitment to perform duties in a safe manner
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
- Previous experience maintaining equipment and facilities
Familiarity with warehouse equipment
ROLE SPECIFICS
- Schedule: Thursday-Saturday 3:00pm – 3:30am
- Temperature extremes from -10 degrees to100 plus degrees
- Work in situations where human error could result in serious financial loss or personal injury
- Extensive standing/walking on concrete floors and working at heights
- Subject to being in an On-Call rotation and occasional holiday work.
