As a Garage Clerk Specialist you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the stock of parts accurately and efficiently in order to service the Garage Maintenance team, and providing clerical support and data entry for the garage facility.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Locate, disburse, order, and stock parts for tractors, trailers, and other garage equipment
- Maintenance and light repairs of company fleet
- Parts warranty form submittals and tracking
- Excel spreadsheet preparation and analysis
- Posting, reporting, and data collection within our truck and trailer maintenance programs
- Data entry of invoices and repair orders
- Compile reporting and data to support equipment breakdown driver survey audits

Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
YOU MUST HAVE
- High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and pass physical abilities test

Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to work in and operate powered equipment safely in a busy garage environment
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
- General knowledge of parts applications
- Effective professional verbal and written communication skills

Experience working in both team and independent settings
ROLE SPECIFICS
- Schedule:
- Some heavy lifting and operation of forklift/other machinery necessary to properly unload, store, and distribute parts
- Extensive standing or walking on concrete, and up and down stairways
