Identify items to be counted and carry out various reactive and proactive inventory counts to recover lost product and maintain accurate inventories working independently with minimal direct supervision.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Physically identify, count, and verify items in designated slots
- Re-stack items to allow for accurate counts
- Safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment needed to count
- Run Excel reporting from Cognos and WMS
- Identify and report safety, sanitation, and equipment issues
- Confirm code dates on product per requests
- Create/delete inventory where appropriate using WMS
- Take pictures of cases and confirm product inside cases, as requested
- Occasional overtime, as needed
- Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.
YOU MUST HAVE
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree
- Proficient math skills
- Basic Excel knowledge
- Ability to achieve certification to operate applicable MHE
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
- Problem solving skills
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
- Previous work in inventory control
- Warehouse inventory background
- Knowledgeable in DOT WMS and AS400 systems
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft programs
ROLE SPECIFICS
- Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00AM-7:30PM
- Warehouse environment with temperature extremes varying from high heat/humidity to below zero which requires also standing/walking on concrete
