This position monitors and maintains all ammonia refrigeration and fire protection equipment, ammonia and fire alarms and works directly with Safety and other management teams to develop/ maintain company PSM Programs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Monitor and maintain glycol floor heating systems, all fire and ammonia alarms, and monitors electrical usage of the refrigeration system to maximize savings.
- Manages Process Safety Management for the Manchester, TN facility.
- Does daily, monthly, and yearly inspections on the equipment.
- Works with Safety and management to develop emergency action plan procedures
- Applies lean thinking tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.
YOU MUST HAVE
- High school diploma or general equivalency degree
- Experience in ammonia refrigeration
- Good physical condition and agility access all areas of facility
- Safety oriented, knowledge of hot work, confined space, and fall prevention.
- Training, ability and physician approval to use SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus).
- Sufficient vision and hearing to operate equipment safely
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Continual emergency response training
- Excellent working knowledge of 120V-480V 3-phase
