As a Warehouse Trainer, you provide on-the-job warehouse training for new and current employees and provide training on safety and other key job functions within the warehouse. You also lead the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Trains assigned personnel to accurately, consistently, & safely use warehouse management systems, along with material handling equipment & supplies
- Serves as a coach and mentor to assigned personnel
- Evaluates performance of assigned personnel
- Follows and applies standard work and work instructions
- Certifies warehouse employees on material handling equipment per Dot / OSHA standards
- Special projects as assigned
- Works to eliminate waste in all areas of the position
YOU MUST HAVE
- Must be currently employed by Dot Foods or Dot Transportation, Inc.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree
- Demonstrated on-the-job behaviors that reflect positive and constructive approaches to business issues.
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior success in a leadership or training role that promotes safety.
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
ROLE SPECIFICS
- Schedule: Full-time Sun-Wed 5:30 PM-4:00 AM: Some variance will occur depending on current training needs
- Pay: $28.60-$31.60 with $1.00 Night Shift Differential
- Environment: Working in below negative temperatures to high heat temperatures Travel: Occasional overnight travel required. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without limitations
