Dot Foods and Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI) is adding one additional paid holiday to the calendar year—increasing paid holidays from eight days to nine. This holiday will be a flex holiday, meaning Dot employees can take this day on a holiday of their choosing throughout the year with manager approval. The flex holiday is not eligible for holiday work pay—meaning employees are paid their standard rate—and does not roll over if not used. The goal is for this flex holiday to be inclusive of all Dot employees, so employees are encouraged to use the flex day on a holiday that is important to them. Some examples include, but are not limited to: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Juneteenth, Hanukkah, or your birthday!
In addition to one flex holiday, employees receive eight days of holiday pay, plus their pay for eligible hours worked on a holiday. These holidays include: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
