Becoming part of the Dot Foods team can be an incredibly rewarding experience. At Dot, you'll find a close-knit community where people value one another and truly encourage advancement within the company.
And to ensure that our new employees are the right fit for the culture Dot has built over the years, our hiring process might be a little different and a little more involved than what you're used to. We do this to make sure that every person who onboards with Dot is someone who will fit in and isn't afraid to work hard and be challenged.
Below is a breakdown of exactly what you can expect once you've submitted an application online. Remember, once you've submitted an application, you'll want to monitor your email and voicemails closely throughout the hiring process. The steps below reflect our full process for a new hire, so not every applicant will be called for every single step.
Step 1: Phone Screen
If your experiences and qualifications match those of the position you’ve applied for, the recruiter assigned to the position will be in contact to further discuss your application and interest in the position and get to know you beyond your application.
Step 2: Testing
If you are selected to move forward for an interview, all salaried (and some hourly) candidates must complete a Cognitive Ability Test (CAT). When this testing is initiated, you will receive an email with instructions for the assessment. Please complete this online testing prior to the date of your interview.
Step 3: Behavioral Interview
Candidates selected for an interview will meet with a three-person panel to assess basic fit for the role.
Step 4: Leadership Assessment
If you are selected to move beyond the interview, you may be asked to complete a leadership assessment which is administered through a third-party organization. The purpose of this assessment is to better understand your leadership style, motivations, and experiences.
Step 5: Hiring Manager Interview
If you progress to the final rounds of the hiring process, you will meet with the Hiring Manager of the position. During this interview, the Hiring Manager will ask additional questions to evaluate your fit for the role and team. Please come prepared with questions you may have about the position.
Step 6: Pre-employment Screening
If you are selected as one of the final candidates for the position, a pre-employment screening must be completed before a final offer is made.
Step 7: Offer
If you are selected as the top candidate for the position, the Hiring Manager will be in contact to discuss the details of your offer. These details may include, but are not limited to, the structure and amount of your compensation package as well as your start date.
